INNER CITY STORIE

Around, all around, the dark memories gather.
My dread grows as the dagger of your words pierces my naked soul.
It doesn't just wound me, it mutilates me, and darkly my
life's blood drips
to the wicked earth that is my prison.
In agony I beg forgiveness
while the end of life occurs by my unwilling hand.
Now alone, my soul falls upon uncaring eyes.

This is because of you.
