The Importance of Arts, Culture & The Creative Process

I believe that the imagination is the most powerful tool we have for changing the world.

What was the inspiration for your creative work?

It was inspired by an actual dream.

Tell us something about the natural world that you love and don’t wish to lose. What are your thoughts on the kind of world we are leaving for the next generation?

I live in the wild/urban interface of Topanga Canyon, so the natural world is all around me. The color green is the most beautiful color--it signifies growth and health on the part of plants. I worry greatly that there are so few places like this left, and and believe that what is left is threatened--by climate change and by the government's total disregard for its value.
